The <strong>Shuswap</strong>’s geographic situation provides mid-point<br />
access to three world-class ski resorts: Silverstar (Vernon),<br />
Revelstoke Mountain Resort (Revelstoke), and Sun Peaks<br />
(Kamloops) — all within a 1.5 hour drive of the <strong>Shuswap</strong>.<br />
In addition to resort skiing, the <strong>Shuswap</strong> also offers<br />
off-piste and backcountry touring. The alpine highlands<br />
surrounding the <strong>Shuswap</strong> lake system are an unlimited<br />
playground for experienced backcountry travelers with<br />
knowledge in avalanche terrain<br />
