the amazing journey of the Sockeye Salmon as they swim upstream<br />

In winter, the North <strong>Shuswap</strong>’s nearby mountainous slopes offer<br />
opportunities for snowmobilers and skiers looking for powder.<br />
Moderate climate and great terrain make for an exceptional<br />
mountain playground.<br />
Drive to the North <strong>Shuswap</strong><br />
on Squilax-Anglemont Road,<br />
just off Highway 1. The region<br />
stretches from Scotch Creek<br />
to Seymour Arm and includes<br />
the communities of Lee Creek,<br />
Scotch Creek, Celista, Magna<br />
Bay, Anglemont, St. Ives and<br />
Seymour Arm. As you wind along<br />
this scenic route you’ll view over<br />
100 kilometres of shoreline that<br />
has remained almost unaffected<br />
by large resort development.<br />
<strong>Shuswap</strong> Lake Provincial Park<br />
is located here and is a summer<br />
destination for many campers<br />
offering sandy beaches and<br />
acres of lake to explore.<br />
