On the north side of Shuswap Lake, you’ll find
a recreation and vacation paradise.

The North Shuswap offers an impressive array of great sights and
activities. But if there’s one spectacle that stands out above all else
it’s the Sockeye Salmon run, an astounding feat of nature! Witness
the amazing journey of the Sockeye Salmon as they swim upstream
from the Pacific Ocean to the Adams River — see the Sockeye
Salmon Run article on page 19 for more.
In winter, the North Shuswap’s nearby mountainous slopes offer
opportunities for snowmobilers and skiers looking for powder.
Moderate climate and great terrain make for an exceptional
mountain playground.
Drive to the North Shuswap
on Squilax-Anglemont Road,
just off Highway 1. The region
stretches from Scotch Creek
to Seymour Arm and includes
the communities of Lee Creek,
Scotch Creek, Celista, Magna
Bay, Anglemont, St. Ives and
Seymour Arm. As you wind along
this scenic route you’ll view over
100 kilometres of shoreline that
has remained almost unaffected
by large resort development.
Shuswap Lake Provincial Park
is located here and is a summer
destination for many campers
offering sandy beaches and
acres of lake to explore.
The North Shuswap is
an increasingly popular
destination, with many new
amenities and developments.
