When a beneficiaryeither pleads guilty or is found guilty on either Federal orstate criminal charges of defrauding the Federalgovernment in connection with a claim for benefits, thebeneficiary’s entitlement to any further compensationbenefits will terminate effective the date either the guiltyplea is accepted or a verdict of guilty is returned aftertrial, for any injury occurring on or before the date ofsuch guilty plea or verdict. Termination of entitlementunder this section is not affected by any subsequentchange in or recurrence of the beneficiary’s medicalcondition.
