<strong>Using</strong> <strong>MCL</strong> <strong>Link</strong> <strong>or</strong> <strong>Link</strong>-<strong>Lite</strong> <strong>With</strong> <strong>Symbol</strong> <strong>Phaser</strong> <strong>Units</strong><strong>MCL</strong> <strong>Link</strong> <strong>or</strong> <strong>Link</strong>-<strong>Lite</strong> will need to be loaded on desktop of PC they are connecting the scanner to.On the scanner, set the Host Mode to <strong>MCL</strong>-NETSetup on a P360/460:Press the FUNC key, releaseand then press the * key.When the <strong>Symbol</strong> Logoappears, press the FUNC key,release then press the BK key.Press ENTER on the “0. SystemSetup” option.Press the Down Key until yousee “4. Set Host Type”. PressEnter


Press the Down Key until yousee “1. Batch”. Press EnterPress the Down Key until yousee “<strong>MCL</strong>-Net”. Press EnterSetup on a P370/470:Press the FUNC key, releaseand then press the * key.When the <strong>Symbol</strong> Logoappears, press the FUNC key,release then press the BK key.Press ENTER on the “0. SystemSetup” option.Press the Down Key until yousee “3. Set Host Type ”. PressEnter


Press the Down Key until yousee “<strong>MCL</strong>-Net”. Press EnterSetup <strong>MCL</strong> LINK / LINK-<strong>Lite</strong>On the PC ensure that the cradle is attached to COM1 and ensure the serial parameters f<strong>or</strong> COM1 areset to 38400,N,8,1. You can set the serial p<strong>or</strong>t parameters by MODING the com p<strong>or</strong>t in DOS <strong>or</strong> by settingthem in device manager.Click the Setup button in <strong>MCL</strong> <strong>Link</strong> <strong>or</strong> <strong>Link</strong>-<strong>Lite</strong>Enter the c<strong>or</strong>rect parameters as shown


Open <strong>MCL</strong> <strong>Link</strong> and make sure the description says OPEN COM #, with a green check in the column tothe left (if you get a red x, serial cable may not be connected <strong>or</strong> p<strong>or</strong>t setting is wrong)<strong>With</strong> the P370/P470 Scanned data will show on the <strong>MCL</strong> <strong>Link</strong> screen.The P370/P470 data will be sent to a .dat file located here


The P370/P470 data file will contain the data that you scan.<strong>With</strong> the P360/460 Scanned data will show on the <strong>MCL</strong> <strong>Link</strong> screen until you Press FUNC then 1 on thephaser and dock it in the cradle. Data will be sent as a batch dat file.


The P360/P460 data will be sent to a .dat file located hereThe P360/P460 data file will contain the data that you scan.NOTE: IF <strong>MCL</strong> LINK JUST FLASHES WHEN YOU SEND DATA, HOST MODE ON PHASER MAY NOTBE SET TO <strong>MCL</strong>-NET. Recheck this setting.
