The main goals of the GWAA are enablinglifetime engagement, gathering a voice for alumni, and building a culture of philanthropy.Automatic lifetime membership is conferred upon degree recipients of allschools and divisions of the university; those who have earned 15 credit hours, who leftthe University in good standing, and whose class has graduated; graduates of approvedcertificate programs of the University; and graduates of Benjamin Franklin Universityand Mount Vernon College and Seminary.George Washington Law Alumni AssociationThe George Washington Law Alumni Association (GWLAA) exists to promote the LawSchool by engaging its alumni in support of the school. Membership is automaticallyconferred on all graduates of GW Law and any predecessor institutions, as well as currentor former full time, part time and adjunct members of the law faculty.The GWLAA is governed by a board of directors supported by the faculty, staff, andDean’s Office of GW Law, working in cooperation with the Office of Alumni Relationsof the Law School.
