TEMPERATURELow Resolution Thermal ImagingMLX90620: 16X4 array of heat sensitive active thermopileswith wide dynamic rangeProduct OverviewMelexis’ MLX90620 is a 16x4 array of thermopile sensors, able to measure a scene with object temperatures between-40 and 300ºC. Each sensing element has its own onchipamplifying and digitization circuit, so every sensor ismeasuring continuously. In this way the array offers thepossibility of a high frame rate without the increase in noisedue to multiplexing a large number of signals to a singleamplifier.TEMPERATURE104During the production process, calibration constants arestored in the on-board EEPROM. These constants are readby the application microcontroller and used to equalizethe digital sensor output and calculate the scene objecttemperature.Typical ApplicationsEfficient air conditioningMicrowave ovensPeople detectionHot spot detectionBuilding environmental auditingSecurity / automatic doorsHome safetyOccupancy monitoringFeatures & Benefits16x4 thermal arrayFactory calibratedWide field of view: 40º or 60ºSmall package: 9mm TO-393.3V supply voltageObject temperature range -50 to 300ºCProgrammable frame rate 0.5Hz to 64HzHigh speed I 2 C interfaceExcellent long term stabilityDigital Active ThermopileEEPROMDigital FilteringRAMMemoryI 2 C InterfaceVoltageRegulatorCL SD VSS VDwww.FutureElectronics.com/Sensors
TEMPERATURENXP High AccuracyI 2 C Temperature SensorsProduct OverviewThe NXP lineup of I 2 C temperature sensors spans industrystandarddevices, to improved specification versions of thoseparts, all the way to innovative, complex, highly accuratesolutions that fit your application at the price point you need.Features & BenefitsNXP offers a direct drop-in replacement to the industrystandardLM75, as well as improved specification deviceswith higher resolution (up to 13-bits), extended temperaturerange, extremely low operating and standby currentconsumption and space-saving packages. Along with theseambient temperature sensors, NXP supplies parts thatmeasure temperature at remote locations using a simplediode connection, providing better than ±1°C accuracy. Aninnovative offset register allows for precise calibration of theremote sensor in the system with no hardware adjustments.Lastly, NXP provides temperature ICs which includenonvolatile memory for DDR3 memory module applications. These devices are JEDEC JC42.4 compliant and are usedas SPD (serial presence detect) function on DDR3 memorymodules. The serial EEPROM can be used in more generalpurposeapplications, such as data logging or standardmemory.TypenumberOperatingTemperature(°C)A/D Converterresolution(bit)Assignable I 2 CaddressesLM75A -55°C to +125°C 11 8LM75B -55°C to +125°C 11 8NE1617A 0°C to +120°C 8 9NE1619 0°C to +120°C 8 2SA56004 0°C to +125°C 11 8SE95 -55°C to +125°C 13 8SE97B -40°C to +125°C 11 8SE98A -40°C to +125°C 11 8Accuracy of on-chipsensor ( ±°C)2°C@-25°C to +100°C,3°C@-55°C to +125°C2°C@-25°C to +100°C,3°C@-55°C to +125°C1°C@+60°C to +100°C,2°C@0°C to +125°C2°C@+25°C,3°C@0°C to +120°C2°C@+60°C to +100°C,3°C@0°C to +125°C1°C@-25°C to +100°C,2°C@-5°C5 to +125°C1°C@+75°C to +95°C,2°C@+40°C to +125°C2°C@75°C to +95°C,3°C@40°C to +125°CTypical ApplicationsThe NXP temperature sensor products are ideal forwatchdog applications, all the way to system monitor andcontrol use.
