MOTIONWhat is a motion sensor?A motion sensor detects the movement of objects within itsfield of view. Passive infrared types are the most commontechnology used for motion sensors. These sensors detectlocalized variances in temperature between objects and thefixed background to determine if any object is moving. Theyoften employ special “zoned” or “curtain” lenses to amplifythese variances and increase sensitivity.
