18 STU Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologiesperts agree that physical activity is critical to maintaining fitness, reducingweight and improving health. Yet so many people have difficultyincreasing and maintaining physical activity in everyday life. Our solution has been created within an international competition ImagineCup 2011 and focuses on solving problem of sedentary lifestyleof the modern generation. We propose a solution which teachesa healthier lifestyle and motivates to participate in regular physical activityby a variety of motivational tools. In order to recognize and assessphysical activity, we created an application for mobile phonesthat collects data from various sensors, such as accelerometer, GPSand GSM. We provide personalised mechanisms of activity recommendationto ensure regular exercise, as opposed to occasional outburstsof activity which are unhealthy and even harmful. Although ourconcept is suitable for every age group, we focused on children asthey are most challenging to motivate. Apart from children, we stronglyinvolve their parents, as they play a key role in achieving long-termimprovements.Student name: Ondrej PerešíniThesis title: Reconfigurable Architecture for Hardware Encryption of DataSupervisor: Mária PohronskáDefended on: May 2011Degree program: Computer and Communication Systems and NetworksAnnotation: The goal of this bachelor thesis was creation of a peripheral device, which could transparently encrypt and decrypt data on selected communicationinterface and protocol. Additional research is dedicated tocryptographic algorithms, their efficiency and severity level. Researchcontinues with detailed analysis of microprocessors in terms of theirspeed, efficiency, availability and power consumption. Further analysisdiscusses about microprocessors of ATmega, Vinculum and ARMfamily with their abilities in combination with accessible developmentkits. This thesis also describes proposed design and implementation, which covers the whole area of analysis. Individual section is dedicatedto the examination and test of correct device function. The sectionof technical documentation contains programming and user guide forbasic device application. In the end of this thesis we present a plan offuture development for improvement of security and functionality.Student name: Jakub ŠevcechThesis title: Web-Page AnnotationSupervisor: Mária Bieliková, ProfessorDefended on: May 2011Degree program: InformaticsAnnotation: Nowadays different kinds of annotations are used for organising andproviding information to their recipient.
