Studies on Scandinavian <strong>Bumble</strong> <strong>Bees</strong>wooded passes at approximately 63" 30' N:(1) A southern range occupying most of SouthernNorway and from 61" N northwards also theadjacent border area of Sweden, the isolatedmountains in Dalarne being included. (As to thelocation of counties mentioned in the text, videFigs. 97-99.) The watershed divide is situatedrather far west. The range consequently slopesmuch more gradually towards east than towardswest, where the mountains reach the coast fromwhere the fjords with very steep sides cut moreor less far into the country. (2) A northern rangeextending in varying width along the Norwegian-Swedish border, r,vith a shift of maximum elevationinto Sweden between 67o and 68o 30' N, andfurther north continuing to the northern coast ofNorway.
