(c) Participate in relevant capacity development activities through: Facilitating capacity development activities <strong>for</strong> volunteer involvingorganisations to better capture and demonstrate the impact of volunteerism on MDG/SD achievementsFurthermore, UNV<strong>2015</strong>NC are encouraged to: Strengthen the knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteerismby reading relevant UNV and external publica tions, taking active part in UNV events Be acquainted with and build on traditional and/or local <strong>for</strong>ms of volunteerismin the country Reflect on the type and quality of voluntary action that they are undertaking,including participation in ongoing reflection activities Contribute articles/write-ups on volunteering experiences and submit them tothe team at UNVHQs <strong>for</strong> consideration, and input to the UNV publications/websites, newsletters, press releases, etc. Promote or advise local groups in the use of online volunteering, or encouragerelevant local individuals and organizations to use the UNV Online Volunteering service12. Results/Expected Output: National consultations on MDGs and the post <strong>2015</strong> agenda successfully carriedout with acknowledged support from UNV Significant and useful knowledge gathered and shared to in<strong>for</strong>m national andregional MDG reports and recommendations thatdemonstrate volunteerism as a crucial element <strong>for</strong> sustainable development goals.13. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or development-related fields At least 3 years of professional experience in development, coordination, orcommunity liaison Sound experience in working with volunteer programmes, NGOs, CSOs, and VIOs Fluency in spoken and written English, and the main national language (if it is not English) Proven competency and experience in internet and social networking tools(i.e. Facebook, Twitter and YouTube). Ability to use standard computer applications(i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)14. Living Conditions: To be defined with the <strong>Country</strong> Office.15.
