T.P.D.M.V.L2(i) Social and economic data such as population, employment, education andinflation etc.;(j)(k)Recommendations <strong>of</strong> sub-regional traffic studies and traffic impact assessment <strong>of</strong>developments;Existing, planned and committed transport facilities; and(1) Strategy and recommendation <strong>of</strong> public transport schemes such as Bus Only Lane,(iii) Additional information to be collected through surveys is <strong>of</strong>ten required, e.g. :(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)Origin and destination survey;Stop/terminus boarding /alighting survey;Screenline survey;Passenger interview survey (access/egress mode and reason for mode selection);andStated preference survey (to project passenger behaviour by a survey conducted onhypothetical situation with a set <strong>of</strong> alternative scenarios and choice questions tosolicit response for target respondents).(iv) <strong>The</strong> information collected or collated are used to develop a database for the study. It iscommon that reference can be made to the database <strong>of</strong> relevant studies conducted in thepast. If the database <strong>of</strong> a previous study is to be adopted, the information is used toreview the previous model performance and for refining the model formulation. <strong>The</strong>information is also used to identify problems, develop feasible options and evaluateoptions.
