T.P.D.M.V.L2(i) Social and economic data such as population, employment, education andinflation etc.;(j)(k)Recommendations of sub-regional traffic studies and traffic impact assessment ofdevelopments;Existing, planned and committed transport facilities; and(1) Strategy and recommendation of public transport schemes such as Bus Only Lane,(iii) Additional information to be collected through surveys is often required, e.g. :(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)Origin and destination survey;Stop/terminus boarding /alighting survey;Screenline survey;Passenger interview survey (access/egress mode and reason for mode selection);andStated preference survey (to project passenger behaviour by a survey conducted onhypothetical situation with a set of alternative scenarios and choice questions tosolicit response for target respondents).(iv) The information collected or collated are used to develop a database for the study. It iscommon that reference can be made to the database of relevant studies conducted in thepast. If the database of a previous study is to be adopted, the information is used toreview the previous model performance and for refining the model formulation. Theinformation is also used to identify problems, develop feasible options and evaluateoptions.
