Hotel School The Hague and Bad Honnef sign Memorandum
Hotel School The Hague and International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef, based in Bonn,
Germany, signed a Memorandum of Understanding last week. This MOU means the start of
cooperation in the field of research, education and consultancy.
With the signing of the Memorandum the following is agreed: Hotelschool The Hague and Bad Honnef
will set up research projects and will work together in the field of hospitality, education and
consultancy. They also get access to each other’s research activities and they can exchange
researchers.
Hotel School The Hague started in 2010 with an education broad Research Center, which is engaged
in research in the field of hospitality. Topics of study include the behavior of hospitality professionals,
pricing and revenue management, guest experiences and city marketing. Bad Honnef is mainly
focused on research in cooperation with companies from different industries.
Clemens Berendsen, member Executive Board of Hotel School The Hague and Kurt Jeschke, rector
at the International University of Bad Honnef signed the Memorandum of Understanding together.
Clemens Berendsen: "We look forward to working closely together with Bad Honnef and the
possibility of learning from each other. This allows us to take research in the field of hospitality to a
higher level so we can continue to innovate".

Hotelschool The Hague
Hotelschool The Hague was founded in 1929, making it one of the oldest independent hotel school in
The Netherlands. The school has two campuses, one in The Hague and one in Amsterdam with a
total of 1,900 students and 180 employees. Graduates of Hotelschool The Hague occupy leading
positions in the hospitality industry all over the world. In 2002 together with 'The Leading Hotels of the
World’, Hotelschool The Hague set up “The Leading Hotel Schools of the World”; an association of
top hotel schools worldwide.

International University of Bad Honnef
The International University of Bad Honnef in Bonn has campuses in Bad Honnef and Bad
Reichenhall and is the competence center for service management. The university offers Bachelor's
and Master's degrees in hospitality, tourism, events, air traffic and international management. The
university, founded in 1998, has about 1,600 students and 100 professors and lecturers and is a
member of the "Leading Hotel Schools of the World".
