NEW HORIZONS FOR WELDING AND CUTTINGAir Liquide Welding is an international group with a brand portfoliooptimised locally to the needs of all types of customers.Whatever the requirements of industrial or semi-professional customers, orthe general public, the multi-branding policy of the Air Liquide WeldingGroup enables it to respond either directly or through dedicated distributionnetworks in all the countries in which it operates. Each of Air LiquideWelding’s brands is planned to become the leader in its given field.From 2006 onwards in the UK and Ireland, the Air Liquide Welding Groupwill serve its industrial customer base using the internationally recognizedOERLIKON brand for welding consumables, welding equipment, andautomation. This will be supported by the Weldline range of accessories.The OERLIKON product range will be expanded over 2006 to cover all theneeds of the industrial market and will include innovative and hightechnology products specifically designed for particular market segments andcustomers. The SAF brand for the Air Liquide Welding Group, which has ahistoric position in the UK market, will be progressively withdrawn over thecorresponding period. Key SAF products for the UK and Irish markets will bereplaced by equivalent Oerlikon branded products and these are included inthe new OERLIKON product range.This interim product brochure summarises the range of OERLIKONconsumables to be marketed in the UK and Ireland going forward. Becauseof the changes described above, this range contains a number of completelynew products for this market, which replace existing SAF products. Inaddition, there are also a number of re-named existing products reflecting themoves in the Air Liquide Welding Group towards a standardised globalproduct offering.The brochure is designed to show the former 2005 product range alongsidethe future product portfolio, highlighting any name changes or productadditions. The exact timing of the different range changes over the course of2006 and beyond will be advised separately, as indicated in the brochure.The products contained in the future national product ranges for the UK andIreland are only part of the full international range of OERLIKON brandconsumables available from the Air Liquide Welding Group.For any requirements not covered in this brochure, or for further details onthe new product range, please contact your local sales engineer or call+44 (0) 1327 705511.
