Work in Elevated PositionsWhat is the purpose of this course?To equip learners with the basic requirements regarding the safe performance of work in elevated positions.Course OutcomesParticipants will be able to discuss the Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements and legal liabilitiesregarding the following aspects:• Work in elevated positions in general;• The necessity of having a written fall protection plan;• Erection, maintenance, and inspection of the various types of scaffolds;• The use of boatswain chairs;• The safe use of ladders – both fixed and portable;• Roof work.Course FormatDurationHalf Day.EnvironmentClassroom training conducted at the client’s venue (In-house) or as a public course.Please note that a minimum of 10 delegates is required to run an in-house course.Learning material (supplied by <strong>LexisNexis</strong>)Student manual;OHS Act and Regulations;All course material is provided in English.
