COID ACTWhat is the purpose of this course?To equip learners with a working knowledge of the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act(COID Act), which allows them to correctly identify cases which must be reported and to complete the necessaryclaim forms for submission to the Compensation Commissioner.Course OutcomesThe following aspects will be addressed in this course:• The administration of the Act;• Compensation fund and reserve fund;• Compensation for occupational injuries;• Claims for compensation;• Determination and calculations of compensation;• Occupational diseases;• Medical aid;• Obligations of employers;• Circular instruction.Course FormatDuration1 Day.EnvironmentClassroom training conducted at the client’s venue (In-house) or as a public course.Please note that a minimum of 10 delegates is required to run an in-house course.Learning material (supplied by <strong>LexisNexis</strong>)Student manual;A copy of the COID Act;All course material is provided in English.
