The balance may be opened onlyby trained service technicians.! Disconnect the balance frompower before connecting ordisconnecting peripheral devices.! If you operate the balance underambient conditions subject tohigher safety standards, you mustcomply with the applicable installationregulations.! Exposure to excessive electromagneticinterference can causethe readout value to change.Once the disturbance has ceased,the instrument can be used againin accordance with its intendedpurpose.Make sure that no liquid entersthe equipment housing; use onlya slightly moistened cloth toclean the balance.Installation! Make sure the voltage rating printedon the power supply is identicalto your local line voltage.– Proceed with extreme cautionwhen using pre-wired RS-232connecting cables, as the pinassignments may not be compatiblewith Denver equipment.Before connecting the cable,check all pin assignments againstthe cabling diagrams and disconnectany lines that are assigned4 differently.! If there is visible damage to theequipment or power cord, disconnectthe equipment from powerand lock it in a secure place toensure that it cannot be used forthe time being.– Connect only Denver accessories,as these are optimally designedfor use with your Summit balance.The operator shall be solelyresponsible for installation andtesting of any modifications toDenver equipment, including connectionof cables or equipmentnot supplied by Denver.
