It provides extensive diagnosticoptions for monitoring FOUNDATIONfieldbus segments and thus supports plantwideasset management.A DPC system consists of one or more moduleracks, each with up to eight DPC-49-IPS1 power supply modules and one DPC-49-ADU resp. DPC-49-DU diagnostics module.Up to four H1 segments for each modulerack can be operated and monitoredredundantly in the FOUNDATION fieldbusnetwork. The diagnostic data of the H1segment can be transmitted via the HSEinterface module DPC-49-HSEFD/24VDCto the higher level asset management system(only in conjunction with the diagnosticsmodule DPC-49-ADU).The module rack consist of a backplaneand the actual rack system for the powersupply modules and the diagnostics module.The single components of the system areelectrically linked via the connection terminalsof the backplane. From electrical perspective,the backplane is to be consideredpassive.The power can be supplied via two 2-polescrew connectors. The connection of thehost system is established per segment viaremovable 3-pole screw terminals.For the connection of the H1 segments tothe fieldbus side, each segment is individuallyconnected with a removable 3-polescrew terminal.The shielding is achieved via insulatedshield bus or via the 3-pole screw terminal,which is internally connected with the M5threaded bolt for equipotential bonding.
