Pension, accident, long-term care and unemployment insurance

Personal liability insurance
Private personal liability insurance kicks in if you injure someone
or damage someone’s property inadvertently. In Germany you are
liable by law for damage of this kind. Parents are legally liable for
their children. It is therefore advisable to get private (family) liability
insurance in order to insure yourself against any claims that may
arise from damage done inadvertently. If you have personal liability
insurance in your own country, you should check if you are covered
throughout the duration of your stay in Germany.
