Friends of the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg
The task of the Friends of the OVGU (“Gesellschaft der Freunde und
Förderer der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg”) is to support
the development of the Otto von Guericke University, promote
scientific research work at the university and to foster close ties between
the inhabitants of the state of Saxony-Anhalt and the university.
The society promotes scientific publications, finds scholarships
for habilitation candidates, PhD students and undergraduates, and
carries out lecture series.
