When conducting a formal investigation, the EOC might requirethe production of information and documents, which might entail thecollection and use of personal data. Clause 69 related to the restrictionson the disclosure of information in connection with a formal investigationand the exceptions to such restrictions. There was however no specificexception in the Bill dealing with the data subject’s statutory right to makedata access request. To ensure compliance with the Ordinance, the PrivacyCommissioner advised the Secretary to consider adding a specific exceptionin the Bill to allow for the data subject’s statutory right of data access undersection 18 of the Ordinance.在 年 報 期 內 , 草 案 並 無 進 展 。There has been no further development during the period under review.
