Changing Consumer Attitudes Among WomenLimitations/ Constraints: The samplepopulation considered were mainlyconsumers residing in the urban areas ofKochi/(Ernakulam). The answers of thequestionnaire depend upon the belief ofcustomers, which may differ from the reality;the survey was conducted considering thetime &space constraint,indirect measuresrelied upon for attitude measurement. Thefindings of the study are based on theassumptions that the customers have givencorrect information and undertakeresonated actions as per TPB and use as perTAM.Conclusion: This comprehensive study ofconsumer behaviour on the variousattributes of modern durable products andFMCG has outlined the various facets ofconsumer likes/ dislikes -attitude and therole of attitude functions.The impact ofvarious factors on the consumer attitude hasbeen brought out by regression weights aswell.In many ways the attitude towards thedurables(White goods) and the FMCG aretangential to each other, ,though in specificmanner the attitude functions differ as well.Multiple attitude functions are seen tomoderate the overall attitude towards theproduct/act. Notably the income of theconsumer does not influence the consumerattitude positively or significantly. This studycan be extended to rural areas of Kochi aswell as also to brown goods and other classesof FMCG to evolve a treatise on currentconsumer preferences on modern productsof mass consumption.
