<strong>CCWT</strong> Trainer ProfilesMon ic a La mel asMonica Lamelas has extensive experience working in the CommunityServices sector. She has worked with DIMIA funded ethno-specificorganisations as a Community Development worker. She was acounselor and trainer with STARTTS for six years, including providingcounseling for a rape crisis centre as well as on-call supervision.Monica has consulted with many NGO’s on Human Resourcepractice. She teaches welfare subjects at Tafe, tutors second yearbusiness students in Human Resource management and is currentlyemployed as the Work based Learning Coordinator for the GraduateDiploma of Social Sciences (Community Services) with <strong>CCWT</strong> andUWS. She has a Bachelor of Arts, (Hons Psych), Cert IV inAssessment and Workplace Training and is currently completing aMasters in Organisational Psychology.N ick M an n in gNick Manning has worked in community education and youth work forover 20 years. With a degree in adult education, he has worked incommunity development, activism training for young people, courtsupport and legal services for disadvantaged communities. He haswritten and edited several publications on duty of care and other legalissues in welfare work, and developed model policies for youthservices across NSW. His workshops combine clear legal informationwith engaging activities, which make learning about the lawaccessible and even enjoyable for community workers.O lw yn N e ilPPr esent er ’ s cour s esar e eli gib le f or AP SPoint sOlwyn Neil is a psychologist with 10 years experience in the alcoholand other drugs field, currently working at the Bourke Street Drug andAlcohol Service. Olwyn has extensive experience in counsellingindividuals and has conducted many groups with a focus oncommunication skills, body image, self esteem, relationships andassertiveness training. She is particularly interested in working withwomen.
