<strong>CCWT</strong> Trainer ProfilesSve a van de r H o ornPPr esent er ’ s cour s esar e eli gib le f or AP SPoint sSvea van der Hoorn is a psychologist/therapist/systems-thinkingpractitioner with wide-ranging international experience. Svea has adoctorate in systems thinking and adult learning, and has worked as atrainer, an academic, a practitioner, and a consultant. Svea is also aqualified primary school teacher with experience in specializededucation as well as school counseling. Svea undertook her trainingin solution-focused brief therapy with The Brief Therapy Practice inLondon and via the University of Milwaukee. Since the early 1990s,Svea has delivered training in the Solution-Focused approach toparticipants from the education, welfare, health, NGO, communitybased,and corporate sectors and recently established her ownpractice Solution Focused Futures.Tan ya M er in d a Tanya Merinda has worked in the alcohol and other drugs field for 12years, both in government and non government sectors and acrossmany agencies. Tanya has gained experience from a variety of rolesheld, including drug and alcohol counsellor, telephone counsellor,program manager, data coordinator, project manager, TAFE teacherand policy officer. Tanya has a particular interest in drug crimediversion programs from frontline service delivery to funding andpolicy development.Tar ja M a lon eTarja Malone is a social worker who has worked with young people ina variety of settings for 14 years. She has worked as a youth workerin residential care settings (crisis and therapeutic) and drop in centreswith "at risk" young people. Tarja has also worked with people withdisabilities, mental health issues, in palliative care and with parents.Her experience encompasses case management, counselling, groupwork, community development, training, education and writing. Tarjacurrently teaches in Community Welfare and Youth Work at NorthernBeaches TAFE. She has a particular interest in mental health issues,cross cultural youth work and working creatively and holistically withyoung people.Ton i Sin g lePPr esent er ’ s cour s esar e eli gib le f or AP SPoint sToni Single is Senior Clinical Psychologist, with 30 years experienceof working with families in the context of Child Protection; Out-of-Home Care; and Mental Health. Until her recent retirement from theDepartment of Health, Toni was the Clinical Psychologist attached tothe Child Protection Assessment Unit at John Hunter ChildrensHospital, but now works in private practice undertaking clinicalassessments in Child Protection and Out-of Home Care; ChildProtection (DoCS) file reviews; and Child Death Reviews.
