STRATEGIC PLANNING & PROJECT SCHEDULEThe key to successful scheduling and management is anticipation. For proper planning, Hedrick Brothers utilizes the schedule toanticipate weeks and months in advance and the daily calendar to anticipate and communicate next week’s or tomorrow’s tasks.Throughout the course <strong>of</strong> the <strong>project</strong>, the schedule is reviewed and revised as necessary.Hedrick Brothers Construction’s Project Manager and Superintendent will prepare a comprehensive construction schedule utilizingMicros<strong>of</strong>t Project. If required, we will utilize other scheduling s<strong>of</strong>tware requested by the client or will outsource the schedule to aqualified consultant.•The <strong>project</strong> schedule is prepared addressing all identifiable issues including: Coordination and Integration <strong>of</strong> Owner’s Requirements and theArchitect/Engineer’s Design Time. Review all Scopes <strong>of</strong> Work and Requested Phasing. Realistic Activity Sequences and Durations. Create Initial Schedule. Incorporate Procurement Schedule. Identify: Critical Items Long Lead Materials/Finishes Scopes with Risk Scopes that Expose Additional Scopes Proper Allocation <strong>of</strong> Labor and Materials Adequate Time to Process Shop Drawings andSample Approvals Partner with Owner to Create Final Schedule•During the bidding and award process, we review the scope <strong>of</strong> work in detail with our subcontractors and suppliers, determinelead times, start and completion dates, and the installation durations. This information is entered into the baseline schedule.•During the procurement phase, the submittals required from each subcontractor are also entered into the schedule, whichbecomes part <strong>of</strong> the subcontract agreement. All subcontractors receive a copy <strong>of</strong> the schedule along with subcontractagreement.•After a master schedule is complete, we then go an additional step in analyzing all current activities into 6 week look aheadschedule. This keeps <strong>team</strong> aware <strong>of</strong> all tasks so that work is scheduled ahead <strong>of</strong> time.The client can be assured that as the Construction Manager for your <strong>project</strong>, Hedrick Brothers Construction will properly manage the<strong>project</strong> schedule adherence, from pre-construction, to construction commencement through commissioning and final completion,and will provide a smooth running <strong>project</strong> in the scheduled timeframe.
