Successful completion leads to certification by the Michigan Fire Fighter Training Council for Fire FighterI and II, Hazardous Materials Awareness, and Hazardous Materials Operations. The Fall 2011 Academy begins with a required orientation on Thursday andFriday, August 11 and 12, 2011. Students admitted to the program will be notified of time and location. The Academy runs from August 15 through December16, 2011. Deadline to apply for the Fall semester academy is April 29, 2011.The Fire Science Academy is a selective admissions program.
