S U M M E R S E M E S T E R 2011<strong>Community</strong> and ContinuingEducation Offerings<strong>Lansing</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> (LCC) has a long history of providing<strong>Community</strong> and Continuing Education (CCE) in the Greater <strong>Lansing</strong> area.LCC East is ―home‖ to the <strong>Lansing</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>Community</strong> andContinuing Education programs. The CCE Department offers a variety ofexciting and accessible lifelong learning opportunities that promote selfreliance,self-discovery, and individual/community well-being. Students cangain new knowledge and skills related to the workplace or explore personaldevelopment as they enhance their quality of life.<strong>Community</strong> Education: <strong>Community</strong> Education classes offer learners of allages access to lifelong learning opportunities that connect LCC’s strengthswith community needs. <strong>Community</strong> Education programs encompass awide spectrum of disciplines, including avocational and leisure offerings,youth development, and adult and senior enrichment.The adult program includes many credit and non-credit classes thatexplore topics such as technology skill development and cultural andcreative arts. Youth activities include A+ Summer <strong>College</strong> and the Giftedand Talented Education (G.A.T.E) program. The Continuing Education program at LCChelps adults develop new job skills; advance in one's career; qualify forprofessional licensure, re-licensure or certification; and explore personaldevelopment through avocational pursuits.<strong>Community</strong> and Continuing EducationRegistrationRegistration is available for a variety of <strong>Community</strong> and ContinuingEducation courses listed for Summer 2011 through self-service webregistration at www.lcc.edu/registration/.
