HawkNethttp://www.hccfl.edu/hawknet.aspxHawkNet is a term used to describe the Web-based resources for students, faculty, andstaff at <strong>Hillsborough</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong>. There are three main tools within HawkNet:WebAdvisor, Campus Cruiser and Wireless Internet access.All students enrolled in credit classes will get a free email account. Email is HCC’s officialmeans of communication with students, because of its speed and efficiency in deliveringimportant <strong>College</strong> communications. Please note:1. Once you are accepted to HCC, important HCC information willbe sent to your HCC email “HawkMail” address. HawkMail is the officialform of communication with you; we will not use any alternativeemail addresses for official notifications.2. You are responsible for checking your HawkMail frequently (anddaily during registration periods).3. Your HawkMail account will expire in 180 days if you do not login within that time. You are encouraged to check your HawkMailaccount at least once a week.4. You will use the same user ID and password that you use to logon to online registration.5. Your new user ID will be your first initial, your last name (andpossibly a number). Until you change it, your password is yourseven-digit HCC ID number. We encourage all students to changetheir password for security purposes.155
