The HCC Hawk Card serves as the officialHCC photo ID and is required toaccess library services, print and copy oncampus (summer term 2010), provide accesscontrol for Hawks Landing residents,and provide an opportunity for cardholdersto receive discounts, both on and offcampus, when purchases are made usingthe Hawk Card. For example:• The HCC Bookstore is offering a5% discount on apparel and generalmerchandise with the HCC logo.• A 5% discount will be offered atdining locations operated by our foodservices partner, Sodexo.• Cardholders can view the list ofoff-campus merchants offeringdiscounts by accessingwww.onecardgivesback.com/HCC.The Hawk Card is a preloaded decliningbalance card. Funds must be loaded onthe card in advance of making purchasesand spending cannot be done in excess ofthe amount on the card. Students, faculty,and staff manage their accounts onlineand are able to load funds on the card,monitor their balance, and review theirtransactions via the web. If preferred,funds can be loaded on the card by callinga toll-free number or cash will beaccepted at campus Bursar Offices.Students can get their Hawk Cards atall campus bookstores, the LearningResource Center at the SouthShoreCampus, and at scheduled carding eventsduring registration periods.Additional features of the Hawk Card willbe phased in such as snack and beveragevending, access to parking areas for facultyand staff, and room access to collegefacilities.
