ORAL ABSTRACTS - THURSDAY, 21 MAY 2015included within the diaries. The contribution of planned (‘football’ and ‘strength and conditioning’training) and unplanned training (any ‘additional exercise’) to overall load was calculated. Results: Mean compliance rates of players providing >17 weeks’ of data was 32%. Only playersproviding >17 weeks of data were included in the analysis. Mean weekly training load was 2157 ±454 (arbitrary units), distributed as 36.5 ± 13.3% ‘football’, 27.6 ± 12.2% ‘strength andconditioning’ and 35.9 ± 9.5% ‘additional exercise’. Unclear effects were observed regardingseasonal variation of ‘football’, ‘strength and conditioning’ and ‘additional exercise’.Conclusions: The training loads undertaken by youth female football players does not reflect thatplanned by coaches, with more than a third consisting of unplanned training. Compliance of youthfemale players in providing training load data is also a problematic area.103
