POSTER ABSTRACTS - THURSDAY, 21 MAY 2015Results: The response rate was 98.4%. The percentage of correct answers to questions about sourcesof injuries was 40.7%, and the percentage of correct answers to questions about symptoms was16.4%, so the percentage of correct answers to both types of questions was low. The percentage ofcorrect answers regarding awareness of the risk of concussions for young individuals was 10.3%,and the percentage of correct answers regarding risk awareness was also low. The percentage ofcorrect answers regarding approaches to help a player return to play following a concussion was33.1%.Conclusions: This study examined how effectively knowledge about concussions was disseminatedto coaches of every team nationwide for a period of over 2 years. Results suggested that knowledgeprovided in workshop lectures may not be fully disseminated by high school coaches to teams andindividual players.215
