Wind speed profiles offshore are expected to conform to logarithmic profiles, but when
looking at the observed average wind speeds at the four levels in Figure 2.16, the
figures reveal that the wind speeds at 62 m are somewhat higher than could be expected
from a logarithmic prediction.
