Section 6 Common Matching - TechnicalOverviewSection 6Common Matching - TechnicalThis enhancement is new for <strong>Release</strong> <strong>7.0</strong>.OverviewCommon Matching prevents the creation of multiple PIDMs for a single person ornon-person in <strong>Banner</strong>. This process uses a rule-based algorithm to check for possibledatabase matches before a new record is inserted into the SPRIDEN table. The samealgorithm is used for new records created by data loaded in batch processes and dataentered in online forms.The finance forms that enable creation of new IDs (FOAIDEN, FTMVEND,FTMFMGR, FTMAGCY) are enhanced to support commmon matching capability.For details, refer to the Common Matching - Functional section. Changes were alsomade to common objects to enable the Common Matching function in <strong>SCT</strong> <strong>Banner</strong><strong>Finance</strong>.
