At Lochryan Lighthouse, on the 31 st ult., John, aged 25 years, son of Mr George Gordon, principal<br />

lightkeeper there. Friends at a distance will please accept this intimation.<br />

At Newton-Stewart, on the 22d ult., of consumption, Mr Alexander M’Clymont, tailor – a young man whose<br />

early demise is much regretted.<br />

Drowned at sea, on the 17 th May, from on board the Thomas Brocklebank, in a hurricane in the Bay of<br />

Bengal, James Jamieson, grandson of the late Mr Jamieson, watchmaker, Newton-Stewart.<br />

On the 5th May last, at his residence in Spencer Street, Melbourne, in the prime of life, Mr John Wither,<br />

late of Challoch, parish of Old Luce, Wigtownshire, after a protracted and painful illness, borne with<br />

Christian resignation. He was highly respected, and is deeply regretted by all who knew him.<br />
