SENIOR SCHOOLCreative KudosDedicated Duo RecognisedTwo <strong>KWS</strong> Visual Arts students have been recognised for their talentand dedication, with their HSC Bodies of Work accepted in theprestigious ARTEXPRESS exhibition.Gretel Bailey-Preston and Cailin O’Connor (pictured L to R) hadan anxious wait after being asked to send their Bodies of Work tothe Board of Studies for potential selection. Early in December theyreceived the exciting news that both had been accepted into the highprofileHSC showcase.ARTEXPRESS showcases innovative and dynamic works of art in arange of mediums available to students every year and is viewed bya large section of the general public as well as by aspiring Visual Artsstudents.Gretel’s work ‘The things you might not hear’ explored issues of lossand longing in relationto humans, as well as thedestruction of the naturalenvironment.Cailin spent her HSCyear drawing a widerange of images dealingwith polocrosse for herwork, ‘Polocrosse…Themisunderstood game’.10
