<strong>KWS</strong> Tennis Serves up its Best<strong>KWS</strong> tennis players have had their most successful year todate.Talor Hamilton, Eleanor Crane, Chloe Oates and LukePetraglia (pictured above L to R) all put in a huge effort duringthe AICES qualifying rounds. Unfortunately Eleanor had toplay Talor for a spot in the team so didn’t make it through.In spite of the strong competition at AICES level Talor, Chloeand Luke all qualified to compete at the CIS Championships.Both Chloe and Talor had tough pools, however Talorprogressed to the play-offs where she was narrowly defeated.Luke won his pool, went into the play-offs and placed fourthoverall in the competition. This saw him qualify for the NSWAll <strong>School</strong>s under 15s Tennis Event.Water Polo Win<strong>KWS</strong> water polo players have hada successful season in the pool,achieving great results and catchingthe eye of CIS selectors.Two <strong>KWS</strong> teams headed to theAICES Water Polo Championship atHomebush, the girls coming homewith a first place and the boys’ teamcoming fourth in a top-quality field.The girls’ result was a considerableachievement as they competedwithout any substitutes. Their teamconsisted of: Sarah Steele-Park,Olivia Archer, Belle Hazelton, BelleKerr, Eddie Kennelly, Sarah Fraserand Poppy Brown.The boys’ team members were: Nedand Joe Yeomans, Bailey Hilder,Jack Lamph, Charlie Steele-Park,Asher Dixon, Tim Gillham, MatthewYeo, Vaughn Higgins and ChrisHenderson-Matuschka.At the end of the event, five <strong>KWS</strong>students were listed for CIS selection:Ned and Joe Yeomans, BaileyHilder, Sarah Steele-Park and EddieKennelly.17
