It waslike the thought suddenly popped into my head out of nowhere and thenI couldn’t stop. This was when I had just moved to Melbourne from theHunter Valley, isolated from my friends and family, I found art was agreat way not to feel lonely in a new city. Art is now an obsessive andcompletely compulsive thing to me. Dinner is always burnt. I’ve beendrawing animals and people in a very hybrid way for a while now. Idon’t eat meat, I have a strong sense of duty towards animal rights andthink this painting humanises the pig. I wanted to make her expressionsad and perplexed.
