Topicssuch as export strategies, trade fair standsand jo<strong>in</strong>t action <strong>in</strong> the political arena areon the agenda.As well as the manufacturers of w<strong>in</strong>d turb<strong>in</strong>es,suppliers are also <strong>in</strong>cluded on theBoard, as they too are dependent on thepolitical framework conditions. In the faceof the upcom<strong>in</strong>g amendment to the GermanRenewable Energies Act (EEG) <strong>in</strong> 2012,there is still a great deal of work to bedone to build a stable foundation for theongo<strong>in</strong>g development of the w<strong>in</strong>d <strong>in</strong>dustry.The suppliers to the w<strong>in</strong>d sector are a keyelement <strong>in</strong> this. A significant proportion ofthe added value <strong>in</strong> this branch of <strong>in</strong>dustryis created <strong>in</strong> these mostly medium-sizedenterprises.In the last few years, the Board has worked<strong>in</strong>tensively on the implementation of theSystem Service Ord<strong>in</strong>ance (SDLW<strong>in</strong>dV). As aresult, an extension until the end of March<strong>2011</strong> was able to be obta<strong>in</strong>ed for new turb<strong>in</strong>es.This gives the manufacturers, certifiersand operators more time to implementthe requirements of the SDLW<strong>in</strong>dV <strong>in</strong> newturb<strong>in</strong>es. As part of the EEG amendmentthat is now imm<strong>in</strong>ent, it is necessary toconsider which services can be additionallyprovided by w<strong>in</strong>d turb<strong>in</strong>es so that, togetherwith other renewable energy sources, an<strong>in</strong>tegrated, reliable energy supply can beguaranteed <strong>in</strong> the future.The results of the work carried out by theMark<strong>in</strong>g and Light<strong>in</strong>g of W<strong>in</strong>d Turb<strong>in</strong>eswork<strong>in</strong>g group also demonstrate howsuccessful the pursuit of a common goal152 W<strong>in</strong>d <strong>in</strong>dustry <strong>in</strong> germany
