This is not limited to couplingsonly, but includes further product rangessuch as hydraulic components and highpowercooling systems. In addition, KTRpresents the new hydraulic brake for windpower technology in 2011.We have developed our steel lamina couplingRADEX®-N specifically for wind power stations:The backlash-free and maintenancefreeall-steel coupling made of highly stiffspring steel compensates for high misalignmentwith low restoring forces due tothe special shape of the laminae. Here, aspecially designed GFK spacer serves theelectric insulation of the coupling. For more than 6 years, KTR have suppliedbrake systems to certain markets. In 2011KTR is reinventing the brake. The hydraulicbrake ‘KTR-STOP®’ with improved performancedata and optimised wear behaviour offersconsiderable advantages compared to conventionalsystems. KTR supplies the completesub system consisting of coupling, brake and high-performance cooling systemsto the wind power industry. With the constant increase in power of thewind power stations, the demands onthermo management are becoming higher:The heat produced by generators, frequencyconverters and gearboxes needs to be dissipatedproperly. Based on our experiencein hydraulics and cooling we have developedspecial cooling power packs thathave a cooling power up to 110 kW. Withspecial modifications equipment thesepower packs are also suitable for offshoreapplications. Cooling systems manufacturedby KTR are adapted to the demands of individualwind power stations and can accommodateall dimensional and performancerequirements.Made for Motion – KTRAddress Rodder Damm 17048432 RheineFederal state North Rhine-Westphalia / GermanyPhone +49 (0) 5971 / 798 - 0Fax +49 (0) 5971 / 798 - 450E-Mail mail@ktr.comWeb www.ktr.comProfileCategoryCouplings, hydraulic components, brakesSuppliers of mechanical componentsEmployees 800 worldwideFounding year 1959[02][03][01] 310 employees are working in theheadquarters in Rheine[02] The steel lamina coupling RADEX®-N wasdeveloped specifically for the application inwind power stations[03] The new KTR-STOP® has significant benefitsover usual brake systemsWind industry in germany79
