[01]World record: 2.5 MW turbineon a 160 meter lattice towerWith the current 2.5 MW turbine FL 2500,Fuhrländer makes wind power even moreeconomical, not least in forest-rich hillyregions for example. This power station atabout 200 meters from the ground suppliesup to 7 million kW hours annually at differentreference sites in Germany. With variablehub center elevations between 85 and 160meters, as well as three large rotors with 90,100 and 104 meters respectively, the rotation-speed-variableturbine can be adaptedperfectly to the local conditions on site.The innovative drive design “Compact DriveTrain” offers even more improved levels ofquiet running and reliability. The technicalfeatures and experience with the system inpractice are currently generating stronginterest from international investors andlicense partners. The FL 2500 is of courseSDL-certified in Germany, and internationallyapproved for different grid codes.Rapid service: Components,concepts and controlsFL’s robust machines have long been countedamongst the most reliable wind turbinesworldwide and have proven themselves incritical conditions such as uneconomicinland locations, typhoon-endangeredregions or regions with special climaticchallenges. In order to keep turbinesperfectly coordinated with national andinternational grid systems Fuhrländer hasdeveloped a reliable service system. Usingmodern communications, the responsibleworks manager and the service departmentare alerted very quickly in case of faults ina turbine, for example by e-mail and SMS.Corresponding actions and service interventionscan then be coordinated in goodtime. The information system also offersthe possibility of processing the systemdata statistically, and diagnosing potentialsources of errors at an early stage – thebasis for maintenance with foresight.Friendly energy for future generationsFuhrländer has expressed its company philosophyin the slogan “Friendly Energy.
