I/O <strong>Module</strong> Introduction<strong>ADAM</strong>-5081 4-ch High Speed Counter/Frequency ModeSelectionUsers can select Bi-direction, Up/Down Counter or Frequency optionas shown in Figure 55.Figure 55: Counter / Frequency ModeNote:All four channels of <strong>ADAM</strong>-5081 will operate simultaneouslyin the mode you have selected. i.e. If you switch the <strong>ADAM</strong>-5081 to Counter Mode, all four channels will operate in CounterMode.Features -- Counter ModeUp/Down CountingThe Up/Down Counter Function offers two types of counting:Up Counting (increasingly) and Down Counting (decreasingly).Up Counting: when C0A+ and C0A- sense any input signals, thecounter counts up.Down Counting: when C0B+ and C0B- sense any input signals, thecounter counts down.
