I’d like to first thank the publisher
of Stylus for his interest
in the Pen Collectors of
America and for granting us
the opportunity to update pen
aficionados the world over
about our association. The
PCA Board of Directors congratulates
Stylus on its premiere
issue and extends best
wishes to all those involved for
continued success with this
new venture.
The PCA is an international
organization for collectors
and admirers of writing
instruments of all kinds. Our
primary focus is on vintage
writing equipment and our
members are interested in all
aspects of pens. We exist as
a nonprofit organization to
maintain the integrity of pen
collecting and to encourage
effective communications
between collectors.
The PCA publishes The
PENnant, a journal devoted
to pen collectors worldwide,
three times each year. Each
issue contains well-researched
articles on vintage pens written
by pen collectors who
are experts in their field. Our
most recent issue, published
in August, included articles
on fountain pens made
in England and a survey of
Art Nouveau and Art Deco
writing instruments. Always
featured are regular columns

and Victor Chen.
The PCA maintains a table
at most pen shows in the
United States and we hope
you’ll stop by and visit us to
learn more about our organization.

hello. We will be exhibiting at
the upcoming San Francisco
International Pen Show on
October 18 and 19, at the
Marriott Hotel, 1800 Bayshore
Drive in San Francisco.
We invite you to join us
for our annual membership
meeting and reception on
November 7 at the Wyndham
Dublin Hotel in Columbus,
Ohio. This meeting will be
held in conjunction with
the Ohio Pen Show and will
feature an exhibit of John
Holland vintage pens from
the private collection of Jack
Leone. Stop by and partake
of some wine, cheese and
conversation with pen collectors
from around the world.
