virtually all frames are built
from aerospace-grade titanium
alloy, and the blades are crafted
from the very finest high-carbon
stainless micro-screw and
Teflon bushings for precise
action, tension control and easy
disassembly and adjustment.
William Henry Knives’
work in finely crafted gentlemen’s
knives has set new
standards in the design and
production of folding cutlery.
Classic Gents series seamlessly
integrate state of the art
technology and mechanism
with elegant styling and classic
organic materials to create
knives that evoke the past
while leading the way into the
future. All knives from these
series use titanium as a base
frame for strength, durability,
and lightweight comfort.
The handle scales are crafted
from the finest natural materials.
The mother-of-pearl
is hand selected and beautifully
polished to reveal the
extraordinary range of color
in each piece. The amber jig
bone (made from cow bone)
is delicately finished to reveal
an astonishing combination
of color and texture. Like the
mother-of-pearl, the desert
ironwood is hand-selected for
figure and pattern matched
for each knife. The 154-CM
stainless steel blades are handhoned
to a razor edge, and
travel on Teflon bushings for
smooth action and minimal
wear. each knife is constructed
with stainless screws and fittings
which are permanently
thread-locked at optimum
tension during final assembly.
The series combines all the
elements in a family of fine
knives that find a perfect balance
between form and function.
They are made for daily
use and are worthy of the most
discriminating collection.
Matthew Conable, president
of William Henry Knives,
has searched the world over to
bring exceptional techniques
in jewelry, knifemaking and
adornment to carry in the
William Henry product line.
The final polish of each blade
is done by hand by a master
bladesmith in Japan, the fine
Koftgari gold inlay is done by
master craftsmen in bali. The
remarkable Damascus blades
are made from billets that
are hand-forged by a mastersmith
in North Carolina.
Carbon fiber parts are sourced
from the finest materials and
machined to exacting standards
by a shop that specializes
in carbon fiber; the same
is true of William Henry’s titanium
parts. An average knife
from the William Henry studio
involves fourteen separate
shops in four states and three
countries. From conception to
completion, a finished knife
takes between six and eight
months.
The award-winning Ultra
Light Carbon illustrates the
remarkable possibilities that
state-of-the-art materials and
technology offer in the design,
construction and durability of
folding knives today. Weighing
in between 0.8 ounces and
1.6 ounces, these knives redefine
the “ultra-light” category
without sacrificing strength
