CALCULATION OF TARGET SCORESTHE RESULTA result can only be achieved if both teams have batted for the minimum number of overs as follows (unless a teamis all out in fewer overs):One Day Matches: 15 oversTwenty20 Matches: 10 oversTIEOne run less than the target score shall constitute a tie. No account shall be taken of the number of wickets whichhave fallen.TO DETERMINE THE TARGET SCORE:FIRST INNINGS:1. Note the number of runs scored from each over in the table provided. This should be done by the scorers(or player scorers as the case may be) at the completion of each over.2. At the conclusion of the innings, total the overs and runs in the table.SECOND INNINGS:3. Ascertain the number of overs available from the umpires (eg. 16 overs).4. Add the 16 highest scoring overs from the table.5. Multiply the 16 highest scoring overs by the percentage and put that figure in the DTR column.6. The target score is the figure in the DTR column plus one.7. If play resumes, the target score must be confirmed with the umpires and agreed by both captains prior toplay resuming.8. If play does not resume, the target score must be confirmed with the umpires before the match result isdeclared official. The target score is to be based on the last completed over.121
