13.3 Qualifying for Semi Finals and the Final(a)Format of Semi Finals and FinalThe First Grade and Alan Pettigrew Shield Twenty20 CompetitionsThe team with highest number of points at the completion of the preliminary matches shall play eachother in a Semi Final as drawn below to determine which teams shall play in a Final:No. 1 Team v No. 4 TeamNo. 2 Team v No. 3 TeamNote: Separate Finals shall be played for the Twenty20 Competition and the Premiership Competition inFirst Grade and the Alan Pettigrew Shield.The Sunday Legends and Katherine Raymont Shield Twenty20 CompetitionsThe two highest Clubs after the preliminary rounds shall play a FinalNote: Separate Finals shall be played for the Katherine Raymont Shield Twenty20 Competition (based onTwenty20 matches) and the Katherine Raymont Shield Competition (based on One Day andTwenty20 matches).(b)Equal PointsIn the event of the teams finishing on equal points, the right to play in the Semi Final match will bedetermined by the most wins in the preliminary matches or, if still equal, the higher net run rate in thepreliminary matches (see Playing Condition 13.2). Net run rate is not applicable for a forfeit or in the eventthat a match is declared no result.Katherine Raymont Shield Twenty20: In the event of the teams finishing on equal points, the right to playin the Semi Final match will be determined by the higher net run rate in the preliminary matches (seePlaying Condition 13.2). Net run rate is not applicable for a forfeit or in the event that a match is declared noresult.(c)No ResultIf no result is achieved in a Semi Final on the scheduled day of play, the highest placed team at theconclusion of the preliminary matches shall proceed to the Final.14. FINAL14.1 VenueThe venue for the Final shall be determined by the Grade Committee(a) The Grade Committee may allocate Allan Border Field as the venue of the Final.(b) For the purposes of Regulation 35.5[a] where:(i) the Grade Committee allocates a ground under 35.2 [a] the host Club shall be the Club whose ground theSemi Final or Final is to be played; or(ii) the Grade Committee allocates Allan Border Field under Regulation 35.2 [c], <strong>Queensland</strong> <strong>Cricket</strong> shallhave the obligations of the host.(c) The Grade Committee shall allocate the grounds on which Semi Finals and Finals are played. Subject toPlaying Condition 14.1 (a) the team that has finished higher on the premiership ladder shall have the right tonominate one of its home grounds as the ground on which the Semi Final or Final is played. If the team thathas finished higher on the premiership ladder does not nominate one of its home grounds as the venue for theFinal then the opposing team has the right to nominate one of its home grounds as the venue for the Final. Ifthe opposing team does not nominate one of its home grounds as the venue for the Final then the GradeCommittee shall allocate a ground. This rule does not apply where a Club is unable to nominate a homeground as a venue because its home grounds are being used by that Club’s higher grades. Where that occursthe Club may nominate another venue to play the Final. For the purposes of Regulation 35.5[a] the host Clubshall be the team that has nominated the ground as a venue for a Semi Final or Final.50
