PLAYING CONDITIONSONE DAY MATCHESThese Playing Conditions apply for all One Day matches in the following competitions. Where competitions areindividually identified, such Playing Conditions are to apply to that competition only.First Grade, The Alan Pettigrew, Norm McMahon, Bob Spence, Roy Tanner and WEP Harris ShieldsThe Katherine Raymont ShieldThe Under 18 CompetitionThe Regulations governing Grade Competition Matches shall apply except where varied below.1. DURATION OF MATCHES AND COMPOSITION OF TEAM1.1 Duration of MatchesOne Day matches shall consist of one innings per side and each innings will be limited to the number of six-ballovers specified below:Competition Number of Overs Minimum Overs toConstitute a MatchFirst Grade, The Alan Pettigrew and Katherine RaymontShields50 15The Norm McMahon, Bob Spence, Roy Tanner, WEP HarrisShields and The Under 18 Competition40 151.2 Nomination of PlayersA team shall consist of 11 players one of whom shall be the captain.The Katherine Raymont Shield: A team shall consist of 12 players. 11 fielders only shall be on the field at anyone time. One player in each side shall not be permitted to bat. Unlimited interchange of fielders from the 12players nominated to take part in the match shall be allowed, provided that no time is wasted. Should a player beinjured and not be able to take their place in the field, the replacement fielder must in the first instance be one ofthe 12 nominated players.1.3 Law 2.5 Fielder Absent or Leaving the Field will apply as modified below:(a) If a fielder fails to take the field with their side at the start of the match or at any later time,or leaves the field during a session of play, the umpire shall be informed of the reason fortheir absence, and they shall not thereafter come onto the field during a session of playwithout the consent of the umpire (See Law 2.6). The umpire shall give such consent as soonas practicable. If the player is absent from the field for longer than eight minutes:(i) The player shall not be permitted to bowl in that innings after their return until they havebeen on the field for at least that length of playing time for which they were absent.(ii) The player shall not be permitted to bat unless or until, in the aggregate, they havereturned to the field and/or their side’s innings has been in progress for at least thatlength of playing time for which they have been absent or, if earlier when their side haslost five wickets.(b) The restrictions in (i) and (ii) above shall not apply if the player has suffered an externalblow (as opposed to an internal injury such as a pulled muscle) whilst participating earlier inthe match and consequently been forced to leave the field. Nor shall it apply if the player hasbeen absent for very exceptional and wholly acceptable reasons (other than injury or illness).(c) In the event of a fieldsman already being off the field at the commencement of aninterruption in play through ground, weather or light conditions, they shall be allowed tocount any such stoppage time as playing time, provided that they personally inform theumpires when they are fit enough to take the field had play been in progress.33
