8.5.1 Where both teams are scheduled to receive the same number of overs, the field restrictionsshall apply equally for both teams, and the number of overs for which field restrictions shallapply shall be reduced in proportion to the number of overs scheduled to be bowled. (Thecalculation shall be the scheduled number of overs multiplied by 0.3); and8.5.2 Where the delay or interruption prevents the team batting second from receiving the samenumber of overs as the team batting first, the number of overs for which field restrictions shallapply in the innings of the team batting second shall be reduced in proportion to the number ofovers scheduled to be bowled in the innings. (The calculation shall be the number of oversscheduled to be bowled multiplied by 0.3).8.5.3 Fractions are to be ignored in the calculation of the number of fielding restriction overs.9. FINAL9.1 The two leading teams at the completion of the rounds in the Second Grade Shield play in a 35 over Finalunder the following scheduled daily playing hours.Grade Days Session 1 Interval 1 Session 2Second Grade Shield 1 12:45pm – 2:45pm 2:45pm – 3:15pm 3:15pm – 5:15pm9.2 To be eligible to play in the Final, a player must have played 3 days (a 35 over match shall count as a fullday and a Twenty20 a half day)10. LOANING OF PLAYERS10.1 Second Grade Shield players shall be permitted to play for more than one Club in any given season,provided that the player’s Club grants permission for the player to be loaned to another Club. Suchpermission must be given in writing with a copy provided to the Grade Secretary prior to thecommencement of the match in which the player is loaned to another Club. The player must be financiallyclear of their Club as per the provisions of Regulation 8, prior to being loaned to another Club.10.2 In the circumstances outlined in 10.1 above, all performances in the Second Grade Shield, for any Club,shall be counted for the purposes of Regulation 34 [Averages and Aggregates] and Regulation 35.1 [Semi-Finals & Finals: Eligibility].11. OTHER REGULATIONSAll other regulations relating to the Grade Competition to apply, excepting the following:Regulations18 – Replacement Players22 – Hours of Play24 – Drinks on Field25 – Follow-on26 – Duration of Matches27 – Unscheduled One Day Match29 – Fixture matches Over Rates35 – Semi Finals and Finals36 – Peter Burge and Kath Smith Medals57
