6. Access to press stands and press centres6.1. Main Press CentreThe MPC is located on the “Tribuna Adriatica” stands of the Stadio Adriatico - the venueof the Opening Ceremony and of football matches and athletics competitions. Thecentre's overall surface exceeds 900 sq m, on two floors.The ground floor extends over 440 sq m overall, and features all ancillary services.The approximately 450 sq m-first floor hosts offices and technical areas.All necessary technology will be in place to meet all accredited journalists' needs.The Main Press Centre will also include:• a meeting room;• a Conference Room (seating 60 people) with desk and backdrop and fitted with anaudio system and three booths for simultaneous interpretation;• one corner for short interviews, with sponsor backdrop;• a TV Area with wide screens showing, in low frequency, all top events scheduledfor the day;• a fully-equipped Computer Area/Press Room featuring over 160 workstations;• a Hospitality Area;• a Shuttle Area, with a timetable, competition venue destinations, and informationprovided in 4 languages: Italian, French, English, and Arabic.Additional services will also be provided to the Press, including:• Post Office;• Travel Area;• Help Desk – to ensure quick solutions in case of technical problems and minorrepair services on equipment (computers, cameras, etc.).23
