III. General safety instructionsOperation in accordance with specificationsThe swather is designed solely for normal agriculturaluse (use in accordance with specifications).Any use of the machine for other purposes is deemed notto be in accordance with specifications. The manufacturerbears no responsibility for any resulting damage - suchuse is entirely at the operator's risk.Use in accordance with specifications also includesobserving the operating, maintenance and serviceinstructions prepared by the manufacturer.The swather must only be used, maintained and repairedby personnel who are acquainted with the machine andhave been informed of the dangers involved.The applicable accident prevention regulations and allother generally recognized safety, health and road trafficregulations must be observed.Any unauthorized alterations to the machine render anyliability for damage undertaken by the manufacturer nulland void.5. The operator's clothes should be tightly fitting. Avoidwearing loosely fitting clothing.6. Keep the machine clean to prevent the danger of fire!7. Before starting up, ensure that nobody is in thevicinity of the machine! (Children!) Make sure thatyour field of vision is adequate!8. Carrying passengers during operation and transporton the working implement is not permitted.9. Couple implements according to regulations andonly attach them to the prescribed devices!10.When attaching and removing, place the supportingdevices in the appropriate positions!11.Special care is necessary, when coupling/decouplingimplements to/from the tractor!12.Always attach ballast weights properly to the fixingpoints provided!13.Observe permitted axle loads, total weight andtransport dimensions!14.Check and attach transport equipment - such aslighting, warning devices and possibly safety devices!Basic rule:Before travelling on public roads andbefore the machine is started, checkthe swather and tractor for roadworthinessand operational safety!Safety and accident preventionregulations1. Take note of both the regulations in this operatingmanual and also the general safety and accidentprevention regulations!2. The attached warning and information signs giveimportant advice for safe operation. Observing themwill increase your own safety!3. When using public roads, make sure that you observethe relevant traffic regulations!4. Make sure you are familiar with all equipment andcontrols, as well as their functions before you beginworking with the machine. It is too late when you areoperating the machine!15.Actuation devices (cables, chains , linkages etc.) forremote controlled devices must be positioned in sucha way that no movements are unintentionally triggeredat any transport or working positions.16.Put implements in the prescribed condition for onroadtravel and lock according to the manufacturer'sinstructions!17.Never leave the driver's position when the vehicle ismoving!18.The speed of travel speed must always be suited tothe conditions! Avoid any sudden turns, when travellinguphill, downhill and when traversing slopes!19.The handling, steering and braking are affected byattached implements and ballast weights. Henceensure that the steering and braking available aresufficient!20.Take into account the extension radius and/or inertiaof an implement when cornering!6
