1396. BUTTPLATES This lot consists of two Burgess Gun Co. hard rubber buttplates with company logo of a retriever with a snipe in his mouth.
Burgess was founded in 1892 in Buffalo, NY and was sold to Winchester in 1899. Burgess manufactured a 12 ga. slide action shotgun. These
plates are in very good condition with light wear at the heel. (2904-36)

is brown cardboard with red label and black printing. This box is marked for “Winchester Repeating Rifles Models 73 and 92 and other guns”.
