2390. PERCUSSION HALFSTOCK FOWLER BY J. HENRY & SON 12 ga., 33” part octagon barrel with a fair bore showing light pitting<br />

and surface rust. The metal surfaces bear a brown patina with areas of light pitting. The stock rates fair with handling marks and thin<br />

cracks in wrist repaired with small thin brads. The single thimble ramrod rib has separated but remains present along with a turned tip wooden<br />

ramrod which may be non-original. The front tip of triggerguard is missing. A maker marked halfstock fowler which will make a good wall<br />

2391. PERCUSSION SINGLE BARREL SHOTGUN 16 ga., 34” pain barrel with a rusty bore. The metal has an overall brown gray patina<br />

with some light pitting more prevalent on action. The plain stock and forend rate good with light blemishes and drops of some sort of dried varnish.<br />

2392. BELGIAN PERCUSSION SIDELOCK DOUBLEGUN 10 ga., 29” shortened Damascus barrels with dark bores. The metal is a<br />

brown patina with scroll engraving on locks and traces of damascus pattern on barrels. The stock rates fair with a thin crack in left wrist, small<br />

repair in right stock with fading checkering and numerous other light handling marks. (3522-23) {ANTIQUE} (100/200)<br />

2393. REMINGTON MODEL 1889 GRADE 1 DOUBLE HAMMERGUN serial #55426, 12 ga., 28” decarbonized steel barrels with<br />

lightly pitted bores choked full. The barrels hava a gray brown patina with spots of pitting. The color case-hardened finish of the frame is slowly<br />

fading to dull gray. The checkered pistol grip stock and forend rates good overall with a couple thin cracks in left wrist and other light handling<br />

marks. The buttstock is fitted with a checkered hard rubber buttplate. Shotgun was manufactured in 1893. (3579-1) {ANTIQUE} (200/400)<br />

2394. PERCUSSION DOUBLE HAMMERGUN BY MANTON 16 ga., 31” shortened barrels with dark bores. The metal surfaces on this<br />

back action lock hammergun bear a brown patina with scattered light pitting and handling marks. The checkered stock rates good having been<br />

lightly cleaned, leaving wood slightly undersized to metal with spots of dried running varnish. The stock has been decorated with inlaid nickel silver<br />

wedge pin escutcheons and monogram plate in belly of stock. The nipples are modern replacements and a customized wooden ramrod with<br />

metal ends is present. A modified Manton candidate for a wall display. (3522-17) {ANTIQUE} (100/200)<br />

2395. PERCUSSION DOUBLE HAMMERGUN WITH W.RICHARDS LOCKS 12 ga., 33” barrels with dark bores. The barrels bear<br />

a brown patina with file marks at the breech which are toning to a dull brown. The W. Richards marked locks are dull gray brown with cut marks<br />

on the right plate where it was poorly fitted to barrels. The checkered pistol grip stock rates fair at best with worn chipped edges along barrel<br />

and tang, light insect damage and dried flaking finish with spots of dried adhesive or varnish at the butt. The stock is ill-fitting to the locks and<br />

may not be original to this firearm. The hammers no longer function. A metal tip ramrod is included. A percussion double whose rustic appeal<br />

would make a nice wall hanger for mantle or gun room. (3522-13) {ANTIQUE} (100/200)<br />

2396. PERCUSSION DOUBLE HAMMERGUN BY GEO. FISHER 12 ga., 30” laminated steel barrels with dark rusty bores. The barrels<br />

bear a brown patina with pinprick pitting and surface rust heaviest at the nipples. The locks are a gray brown with light oxidation. The checkered<br />

wood stock rates fair with a dried flaking finish, chips and other handling marks and a large crack in wrist which has been period repaired<br />

with thin iron bars and screws in either side of stock. A proper size wooden ramrod is present. (3522-9) {ANTIQUE} (75/150)<br />

2397. U.S. SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1873 TRAPDOOR RIFLE serial #54293, 45-70, 32 5/8” barrel with a fair pitted bore. The lock plate,<br />

breech block and barrel have proper markings. The metal bears a gray brown patina with light pitting. The stock rates about fair with numerous<br />

holes drilled in butt along with a large chip at toe, carved initials in left butt and other handling marks. The thumb lever is loose fitting and the firing<br />

pin and rear stock screw are missing. A correct but lightly pitted cleaning rod is included. A nice trapdoor restoration project or parts gun candidate.<br />

2398. WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION RIFLE serial #17023, 44 WCF, 24” round barrel with full magazine and a near excellent<br />

bore. The metal bears an overall brown gray patina with traces of original blue in protected areas with spots of surface rust and scratches.<br />

The walnut stock and forend rate fair with the forend having a thin crack the entire length of belly, stock has a crack in the right wrist and a large<br />

chip in left. Two small holes are present in buttstock along with other handling marks. The magazine band appears to have broken free and a<br />

crude welding attempt was made. Some of the screws show light slot wear. Rifle is equipped with a German silver front sight and sporting style<br />

rear sight. A fair condition first year issue 1892 rifle that would look great on a wall. (3566-1) {ANTIQUE} (200/400)<br />

2399. MUZZLELOADING FULLSTOCK SPORTING RIFLE RECONVERTED TO FLINTLOCK .54 flintlock, 45” octagon barrel with<br />

a dark rusty bore. The metal bears a brown patina with spots of pitting and silvering along the high edges. The wood stock rates about fair with light<br />

scuffs and scratches and a large crack through wrist which has been partially secured with small iron brads. The brass hardware has a faded ochre<br />

finish and a small area of brown paint on rear of triggerguard. A wooden ramrod with chipped tip is present. (3542-4) {ANTIQUE} (200/400)<br />

2400. PERCUSSION HALFSTOCK SPORTING RIFLE BY LEMAN .36 percussion, 33” octagon heavy barrel with a fair rusty bore. The<br />

metal surfaces bear a brown patina with light pitting more prevalent at the breech. The top rear of barrel is marked “S.SMALL”. The stock rates<br />

poor to fair with a crack through side flat and a large chip and crack in top of wrist prohibiting lock from seating properly. The toe of buttstock is<br />

cracked and is being secured by the crescent buttplate. The buttplate is equipped with a nice rectangular brass patchbox and the brass hardware<br />

has a nicely mellowed brass finish with some light verdegris starting to form. The wedge pin has been replaced with a simple twisted brass<br />

blank. A short wood ramrod is currently present. (3552-5) {ANTIQUE} (200/300)<br />

2401. J.F. MERRIMAN PERCUSSION HALFSTOCK SPORTING RIFLE WITH GOULCHER LOCK .41 percussion, 29” octagon<br />

heavy barrel with a dark bore. The metal bears a brown patina with traces of a flaking blue paint-like finish along with spots of light surface<br />

rust. The Goulcher marked lock has a fading gray finish with light oxidation leaving name and light scroll engraving partially obscured but still legible.<br />

The walnut stocks rate good overall with a raised 2” crack in front of triggerguard and other light dings and blemishes. The stock is accented<br />

with a lightly engraved German silver decorative patchbox and toe guard along with a plain German silver wedge pin escutcheons, curled triggerguard<br />

and buttplate. Some solder marks are present where ramrod rib may have been reattached. A newer wooden ramrod is present.<br />

2402. ANTIQUE LOT This lot contains four antique clay pigeons. They are a reddish clay color, and are in very good condition. Three are a standard<br />

size, and the fourth is smaller and has a tab on one side. Opposite that side is a small chip. All three have lettering molded into the top, but<br />

the lettering is illegible. (2725-31)<br />

2403. LOT OF SURPLUS AMMUNITION This lot contains five boxes of WWII Winchester 30 Carbine FMJ ammunition. Four of the<br />

boxes are full, and are lot #22121. The fifth is marked Western and only contains 38 rounds. All cartons and ammunition are in excellent<br />

condition. (3017-54A)<br />

2404. LOT OF SURPLUS AMMUNITION This lot contains six boxes of WWII surplus 30 Carbine FMJ ammunition. Three of the boxes are<br />

Lake City Ordnance re-packed ammunition. These are dated 10-44. The other three are manufactured by King Mills Ordnance Plant. Two are<br />

intact but have an open edge, and the third is loose, due to the box having come apart. The ammunition itself is in excellent condition. Comes<br />

in a green G.I. can. (3017-54B)<br />
